Services
Sweet Home Photography offers a variety of session options designed to celebrate legacies, help participants cope with transitions, capture meaningful memories, and advocate against ageism through authentic, positive imagery.
"Senior Portraits"

Every person carries a lifetime of stories, experiences, and wisdom—and those deserve to be honored. Portrait sessions for older adults are more than just photographs; they are intentional spaces where people can feel truly seen and heard.
The result is more than a portrait—it’s a celebration of identity, resilience, and the unique beauty that comes with a life well lived.
Legacy Portraits

We all carry pieces of our story—objects, heirlooms, or keepsakes—that hold deep personal meaning. But how often do we get the chance to share those stories with the people who matter most?
A legacy portrait session begins with a conversation about the object’s significance—why it matters, the memories it carries, and the role it plays in your story. Together, we explore how best to capture that meaning through an image.
The session concludes with a portrait sitting, creating photographs that not only preserve your likeness, but also invite loved ones into your story—sparking meaningful conversations about legacy, connection, and the moments that shape a life.
Memorial Home Photography

Maybe you built your house from the ground up, or watched generations of family members come through your front door over the years.
A house that becomes a home holds so many memories, and making a move is never easy. An album can never replace a space we have to leave behind, but having memories to carry with us can help to ease the transition.
Social work skills applied during sessions also help to process change and find pause during a difficult time to appreciate the legacy a special space has created.
Event and Program Photography

Capturing memories during special times is such an important part of life. Inviting Sweet Home Photography to your event can help showcase the spirit of your community, relieve pressure of capturing important moments from family and/or staff, and show the happiness and fun that comes with living in a vibrant community.
Society has a tendency to look at aging through a fearful lens. Documented moments that provide visual proof of the contrary can help to re-frame ageist narratives.
Celebrating Milestones

We photograph babies, kids, graduates, brides, and grooms all the time, but how often do we stop to capture the older adults in our lives?
Milestones don’t stop with age. Whether it’s a retirement, a new chapter, a personal achievement, or simply a moment worth remembering, these accomplishments deserve to be honored. Thoughtful photography preserves these milestones in a way that celebrates the person, their journey, and all they’ve achieved.
Photographs to Cope with Loss

When someone we love passes away, we would give anything to have them here with us in the present.
Photographs create a space for this to be possible by honoring relationships and connections.
Social work skills utilized during sessions help participants to process ongoing grief and have a safe space to talk about their loved one.
Image Catalog Creation

Stock photos serve a purpose, but if you work in the human service industry, you know that personal touches make all the difference. Inviting Sweet Home Photography to spend a few hours in your community or at your place of work will leave you with a custom catalog of personalized "stock images" to use in your marketing and PR material.
Discussion and Portrait Groups

These empowering portrait sessions start with a discussion group facilitated by Meg, focused on what participants enjoy about being older, things they are proud of, things they are grateful for, things about them that might not be evident at first glance, and advice they'd like to offer younger generations.
Participants are encouraged to write their responses during the discussion, and are then photographed with their messages. Discussion helps create a sense of community and connection, while portraits help participants to feel empowered to share their wisdom and own their experience.
Brand Photography

You could hire any photographer to take your marketing photos, but hiring someone with background knowledge about what you do and why you do it helps to take your brand images to another level.
