March in review!

March was one of those months that held a little bit of everything, keeping Sweet Home Photography busy in the best way!

The month kicked off with Chili Recreation's annual family BINGO night, complete with costumes, prizes, and a ton of fun 🎉

Next up was my first (but definitely not my last) visit to Encore Chorus, a choir comprised of people living with memory loss, their caregivers, and volunteers. Brought together by the Eastman School of Music, this group's connection, talent, and kazoos brought me so much joy, and I'm excited to share more of their photos with you soon 🎶

Another exciting development to share: a new partnership with a company called Aegeliss! This Seattle-based company was created when its founder noticed the challenges her family faced when her grandfather developed dementia, and makes beautiful and helpful tools that promote independence and dignity. Sweet Home Photography will be taking marketing photos, with the help of some local models! Learn more about Aegeliss here: https://www.aegeliss.com/

I got to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a pub crawl at The Village at Parklands, featuring stations of food and drink and so many fun hats! ☘️

Episcopal Senior Life Communities kept me busy the past few weeks working on images for their updated marketing material. I had a great time visiting Valley Manor, the Episocpal Church Home, River Edge Manor, Ellen's Place, and Seabury Woods, thanks to resident models who made it fun--stay tuned for some really great outtakes coming to the feed next month 😀

A definite highlight was the opportunity to photograph Lifespan's Celebration of Aging luncheon, a huge annual event honoring older adulthood and the fantastic work that Lifespan does for the Rochester community. This year's guest speaker was Ernie Hudson, better known to me as Agent McDonald in Miss Congeniality 🤩

Baywinde brought Vegas to Rochester with the help of the Lions Club, hosting a casino night complete with game tables and loaded bloody Marys 🎰

The Easter Bunny hopped in a little early for an evening with Chili Recreation and local families 🐇

And last but certainly not least, got to see a furry friend find a new home thanks to an adoption event hosted by Lollypop Farm and the Village at Unity 😻

And in case you missed it...Sweet Home Photography is SO proud to be a finalist in the Roc the City Choice Awards in the category "Best Business Making a Positive Social Impact." If you have a moment to cast a vote before April 10th, it would be much appreciated! ❤️

Thanks to all who added to this March madness, and to those who have filled April's calendar already--capturing these moments is the best job there is, and I'm grateful to do it 😊
