Welcome, September!
The further we get into the year, the faster it seems to go! Here is a look back at what kept Sweet Home Photography busy this August:
August started in the best way possible, photographing a reunion between brothers after years living far apart. Stay tuned to SHP's social channels later this week for more on this!
I am excited to expand my involvement with the Brighton Chamber of Commerce by photographing some of our events, and was glad to get started with our First Friday networking at Lawley.

I'm always grateful when friends and colleagues reach out for help with photo needs, and I hope to see this one as a winner of "40 Under 40" this year!

In other exciting news, Sweet Home Photography has begun to expand into some video service as well, and I was honored to capture a video testimonial for Teresa House's annual campaign.
If you're not familiar, Teresa House is a comfort care home located in the village of Geneseo--if you happen to be in Livingston County, their work is amazing and a cause worth supporting!
I paid my first visit to Quail Summit in Canandaigua for a barbecue and summer concert, and I can't wait to go back! It was a beautiful summer night to be outside, and the spirit of the community made it that much better.
Evidently we are starting a new tradition where I only hang out with my friends at the Legacy at Clover Blossom in torrential downpours...but the rain didn't put too much of a damper on their first round of "dunk the director!"
I spent a sunny Friday evening at the Village at Unity for a clam bake, caught up with some friends in the process, and felt like I was on vacation for an hour!
Next up: senior portraits for Tonio, and a beautiful evening out with one of my favorite families!
I definitely didn't have "photograph Josh Allen" on my 2026 bingo card, but here we are!! I have so much to say about an amazing morning checking out the new Highmark Stadium with my friends from Unity--stay tuned for more as we get closer to the home opener, and GO BILLS!
Next up it was back to the golf course, this time at Ravenwood, to photograph Lifespan's annual tournament.
I was so impressed by Friendly Senior Living's newest apartments at Lily Brook, and as soon as they lower the age limit to 39 I'm getting on the waiting list!

Next up: senior portraits for Ayden! Got to check out a few new-to-me locations in Victor and took advantage of some moody evening light between raindrops.
And last but not least: a bit more networking with the Brighton Chamber at the Sheffield--I had a great time, made some new connections, and left with snacks for the ride home--can't beat that :)
